Infrastructure Threat: The New DSS Demands Immediate Arrangement of the Parking Area for Stellantis Suppliers
Kosara Stanković, a councilor of the New DSS, addressed the public and the city authorities of Kragujevac regarding what she describes as a critical safety situation caused by the prolonged parking of heavy trucks at the entrance to the Erdec neighborhood.

Trucks that sometimes wait for unloading for days are parked along the entire bridge known as the “Star Bridge” and nearly the entire road leading toward the neighborhood. The councilor points out that driving on this route—especially during peak traffic hours—has become unpredictable, with the blind curve near the pedestrian bridge leading to Stanovo posing a particular danger.
Stanković warns that the bridge is unsafe not only for drivers but also for pedestrians, as “huge holes” have opened up on the reconstructed pedestrian section, making crossing at night extremely risky. She also expresses concern that the prolonged parking of a large number of heavy trucks on the bridge could compromise its structural integrity, especially given that one expansion joint has been unsuccessfully repaired for years. Truck drivers say they have nowhere safe to go, while police warn them to leave the bridge.
Although she welcomes the intensification of electric vehicle production at Stellantis as a positive development for the city, the councilor stresses that the safety of citizens must come first. She therefore calls on the company’s management to resolve the logistics problems of its suppliers. She proposes that Stellantis create a parking area for trucks on its own premises while they wait for unloading, or that its logistics team, in cooperation with the City, secure a nearby parking location, with trucks arriving directly for unloading at a precisely scheduled time. “We must solve the problem in time—we must not wait for something to happen,” Stanković concludes.

NEW DEMOCRATIC PARTY OF SERBIA
Our choice is perfectly clear: a political struggle for the democratic transformation of Serbia. This means that Serbia must be built on the foundations of a democratic parliamentary system.
Loyalty to this principle represents the essence of the Democratic Party of Serbia. Political beliefs come above all else for us — above leaders, above interests, and above day-to-day politics.
